MAPFRE ASISTENCIA LAUNCHES A WORLD-PIONEERING PROGRAMME IN MEXICO FOR PATIENTS UNDERGOING TREATMENT WITH MEDICINES

The subsidiary company of MAPFRE reaches an agreement with the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca to offer emergency, prevention and diagnostic services MAPFRE ASISTENCIA has launched MAZSALUD in Mexico. It is the only programme of its kind in the world and it will allow MÉXICO ASISTENCIA to offer the very first Healthcare programme of prevention and diagnostic services for the purchase of a medicine, without any extra charge to the customer.

This programme represents a major innovation in the field of assistance and it has been enabled, initially, by the collaboration agreement reached between the subsidiary company of MAPFRE ASISTENCIA in Mexico and the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca in that country. It is anticipated that MAPFRE ASISTENCIA will extend its services to new medicine suppliers in the future.

Every patient with a prescription for an AstraZeneca medicine will be able to register with MAZSALUD via the programme’s website www.mazsalud.com or by phone. All beneficiaries will be given personal cards so that they can begin to benefit from the added-value services provided by MAPFRE ASISTENCIA through this Healthcare programme. 

Among the benefits that MAZSALUD offers are an ambulance service in the event of an emergency, laboratory tests, primary health care in the home and nutritional information.
